We were a little to busy partying to post about Jon's birthday. Would you like to know how to celebrate Eads style? First make sure you find some really great party guests.

Next - Go overboard. Sort of. The original idea was to get 26 balloons for 26 years. Well... helium filled balloons didn't quite fit into the budget like I would have liked it to, so I opted for 13 balloons. 1 for each 2 years. Until one popped. Oh, the best laid plans.

Then, make sure the birthday person knows that they are loved. If you can add in that you think they are photogenic then you get bonus points. (Our last few celebratory events have all had pictures involved. I think it has something to do with the fact that since Gabriel has been born we take more photos then anyone should ever know what to do with.)

Every great party needs the element of surprise. Like walking in the door and seeing balloons. Or walking across the parking lot at work and seeing your wife try to stealthily get balloons from the store into her car. Surprise happens either way I suppose.

If you tell anyone about your plan prematurely they may want certain pictures of the event. Like Mom. She wanted a picture of Jon's surprise face. This is what he did for me. I guess he needs to be surprised more often so he can have a great surprised face!

Jon, I love you and am so thankful for you and all you do for our family! Happy Birthday!
